Artist Report: Pete Kasprzak

Pete Kasprzak - www.seewhatinspires.me

Well known for his urban art, Pete Kasprzak has now extended his creativity to create a clothing line. His art consists of urban scenery that has caught the eye of many including: Starbucks, The Art Gallery of Hamilton, and a well-known publisher who has sold his work to HomeSense and Sears.

His art was also recently scouted by the Elaine Fleck Gallery, which he has been added to her Art catalog. Pete Kasprzak has turned his urban photography to graphics that are wearable. By combining his own photos and his illustration skills, he has collaborated both to make a few sample T-Shirts which are catching on... I know I'm getting at least a few.

For a list of his work, make sure to check out his website: www.seewhatinspires.me

Here's a shot I took at Down With Webster's latest show in Toronto... Light The Night. DeeJay Dave "Diggy" Ferris is wearing one of Pete's shirts.

A bit South of Queen St. W, from Spadina to Portland, this alley is filled with some of the most amazing graffiti I've ever seen. I got there a bit late in the day so I had to work quick before the sun went down but I shot some amazing pieces. From cryptic lettering to some more contemporary pieces, this alley is a tribute to Toronto's graffiti scene. Check out the entire set on my flickr here.
